I have a full-time job and am a full-time student wrapping up an undergraduate degree. I have a dog and live in the DMV area. I’ve committed a lot of time to getting myself in a better place mentally the past year or two and have come to realize that I would like to start building a social life now that I feel more stable.

I am revisiting old hobbies while also establishing new ones. I’m most passionate about cooking (ethnic/exotic foods and baking bread), but I do love art. I am amassing quite the embroidery setup. I dabble here and there in all sorts of projects though. Painting, digital drawing, linocuts, and even some jewelry making and nail art. I’m all over the place, I know. Although I’m someone who could probably benefit from routine and structure, I love variety and trying new things too much.

I am into true crime and watch a decent amount of tv and movies. I like indie and foreign films, but I also watch more blockbusters as well. I like documentaries a lot too. I’m currently wrapping up Six Feet Under and King of the Hill. But also like to punish myself in watching the disaster that is American Horror Story. I watch a lot of horror, but enjoy thought-provoking things as well. Guilty pleasure being Rupaul’s Drag Race and some other drag-oriented stuff.

I’m looking for open-minded friends that have a good sense of humor. That like getting together to have dinner just as much as trying out a new hike. Someone to maintain dialogue with and be open and honest. I’m very empathetic, but can be blunt and overshare. Not afraid to speak my mind or have an opinion, and appreciate hearing and respecting yours.
