Have a friend I talk to nearly everyday but recently he's been hanging out with his buddies (as he's in the Marine Corps) drinking and trying to have fun off base which makes me feel depressed missing our regular 5-12 hour talks (7 hrs is the average).

Understandably, he's going to be stationed back to the mainland soon as he's overseas.

I would love to feel important maybe now but regardless I'm trying to make friends as he's encouraging me to do it for myself since he knows how guarded I am. So Im hoping I could be a priority when it comes to friendships.

I also want to introduce any other US marine friends to him I make from here, since while I'm an introvert, I'm not antisocial. He can be a lil protective of me though hence, I'd want someone to introduce to him as I'm very reluctant to make friends outside of him.

My interests are bingewatching tv shows/movies, and rewatching them sometime, sharing music. So I like someone who is receptive to that as I would share and show to him movies/tv shows I love to watch.
