First off, I just want to reiterate that I'm a 45-year-old guy. I know that this age and sex aren't what many are looking for on here, which I understand, but just throwing it out there to start so that it doesn't later become an unpleasant surprise.

My biggest hobby is that I love reading, to the point where I always have many books going at once that I'm currently reading. And I am a member of two in-person book clubs, but this doesn't quite give me a chance to discuss everything I read with someone else. So ideally, this post is a hope to get to do more of that.

What I am looking for could essentially be called a two-person book club then. I have tried online groups before, but just haven't found they give the back and forth I enjoy most when people are in an active conversation. So here is to hoping that this idea sounds good to someone else, too.

And if it does to you, please come say hi. I read across many genres, so I am sure we can find reads that work for us. I think it's most important to just find someone who thinks the idea could work (and ideally be a lot of fun) and then we can use that as the start of a hopeful new and wonderful friendship.
