Hi there! =^_^=

Do you wear exclusively black? Perhaps you make a habit of watching ridiculously obscure indie Japanese films? Is a dark and stormy night your dream weather to go for walks in? Have you made a habit of running off to countries alone where you don't speak the language with just a backpack and no plans for where you'll be the next day?

Because all of that kind of weird is absolutely my jam and so much more. I want friends who know what gives them life and embraces it.

As for what gives me life? Lots of stuff!:

• I'm BIG into emo/screamo/goth/punk everything. Every day I yearn to be just a little bit deeper into it. I listen to all the music and hunt down indie bands in my free time to find something new and exciting. Everything I own is black, clothing or not. I go to the shows, I love the communities, you name it.
• Video games. If you know someone with more hours in video games than me... I'm honestly concerned for their health. I've played video games professionally full time for years. I have thousands of hours in half probably at least half a dozen games. Currently I'm really digging rogue-lites, Hearthstone Battlegrounds, and a bit of OW2 but I've dabbled in everything.
• Movies (Huuuuge into horror and weird indie stuff especially! HMU if you have something good you think no one else has seen, I'd love to throw it on my list!)
• Reading (Books, Graphic Novels, and Manga - I love it. Between the three mediums I'd say I've read over 6,500 pages just in 2023 so far. I can't get enough and am always jumping into a new story.)
• Travel (As the opener suggested, I like to go on adventures! I've been to a bunch of countries but never enough. I love to head off into the unknown alone and see what happens. Mostly recently I spent 3 weeks wandering the streets of Japan and next I think I'd love to go to Antarctica or book a cabin on a cargo ship to anywhere! Feelin' a sea voyage adventure next!)
• Writing (I write every day. Right now it's largely practice doing /r/writingPrompts short stories but I'm hoping to pursue writing my first novel sometime soon!)
• Programming / Computers (Computer nerd at heart I've been around the digital block. I go to hacking conferences for fun, I've programmed on and off for half my life, I think Linux is cool as hell, and I can't imagine not building every desktop computer I'll ever get.)

Hobbies and passions aren't everything of course. Values and vibes are important too. Here's a bit about me on that as well:

• I'm open-minded AF. I'll hear your side out and critically think about it no matter what. My philosophy in life in general is "if it makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone else, I'm happy for you."
• Support LGBTQIA (I mean... It would be weird if I didn't, seeing as I'm a pansexual trans girl haha, but still. Being able to be yourself and express yourself is important to me.)
• Strive to be the change I want to see in the world and be my best self. I try to always return the shopping carts, have empathy, be mindful, express gratitude, clean up after myself, stay honest, and make others happy when I can.
• Curious, sometimes awkward, incredibly chill (I don't think I have the capacity to yell or get super angry), and a big thinker.
• Embracing emo/goth stereotypes to the fullest lol. I got depression/anxiety/angst bad. My fashion sense is absolutely emo/goth 100%. The music is all I listen to. Black eyeliner is the best. I frequently wear a collar. My fav shows/books/movies/etc are often the gloomy, macabre, and dark stuff.
• I enjoy writing massive walls of text, love to receive them back, and I use emoticons (or emotes in Discord) waaay too much.
