So I had my first battle against Votann, at 1k points. Yes I know 1k games are super swingy.

I’m having trouble wrapping my head around Einhyr Hearthguard and what I can do to stop them. A squad of 10 just ripped through six wraiths and the attached technomancer while they were in cover in a single round of shooting. They just popped in from deepstrike and obliterated them. I didn’t even roll particularly poorly on saves, they just put out so many shots. He rolled a bit hot but not excessive. He put about 80-85 shots out between the grenade launchers and if I remember correctly, and then with a strat to give everything sustained 1 and the dev wounds on the Volkite weapons I just couldn’t keep up.

I put a whole 10 man squad of Tesla Immortals with a plasmancer attached and killed a single model. Thanks 2 saves. They were out of line of sight from the rest of my army that round. That single unit basically deleted all of my non-tank units by turn 3 and by the end of the game tanked three round of shooting from a Doomstalker (bad rolls on my part) and lost a total of 3 models.
