Starting up Necrons again as a side army for 10th. I got the Indomitus set, and want to know where to go from there.

My guess is: heavy destroyers will always be a staple, and I want immortals, whether or not their value holds up. An annihilation barge, probably a night scythe. If I can get my hands on them for cheap, definitely going to grab anything C’tan.

However, it feels to me that there are a bunch of duplicate type units otherwise. Wraiths, ophydian destroyers, skorpekh destroyers, they all feel like the same unit with just slight variations. One moves faster, but another hits harder.

Are the tall canoptek “gun-with-legs” things any good? I see them in so many box sets but no one runs them lol.

And maybe the psychomancer will have some value for forcing battle shock tests in 10th? I wouldn’t run him in 9th but there seems to be potential going forward.
