what are your strats for Gid the Good?

So I finally hit 95, I'm ready to reset one more time (I have more than 80k extra timeshards needed to buy every upgrade) and get ready to hit 100 and prep for any future updates. But I want to kill Gid before I do. 3 mil seems like it will take a long time if using just demons (mine hit for 26k each). Is there anything I'm not thinking of? Do Cockatrice count as hits? Are Cherubs really the best way to go?
