As the title says, I have some fic ideas that I'd like to pursue, but I'm on a writing hiatus and already have a fic lined up for after it's over. if you want more details I thought up on the idea you're interested in, ask in the comments.

Credit me or don't, change the name if you don't like it or thought up a better one, change the idea itself, whatever happens just link the fic who's idea you've adopted down in the comments of this post so I can viciously mock and critique it.

Without further ado, let us start listing;

Claw on the Cradle: Prior to the bombing, a pregnant Venlil tight on her money accepts a Human into her household when the refugees start coming to Venlil Prime, to get that sweet government bribe money. She then comes to learn first hand just how lovingly attentive, and how fiercely protective, a Human can be.

*ADOPTED* To be a Predator's Mate: Either a Gojid Refugee before the bombing or a Venlil Boi afterward (I couldn't decide which) interact with a Human and think they've been chosen as their mate, and go on to play the part in fear of what they would do should they be rejected, only to fall in love as the masquerade goes on. Meanwhile, the Human's just happy the pretty/cute alien is giving them a chance.

*ADOPTED* Kith and Kin: A Venlil couple take in a Venlil and Human orphan duo, thinking they'll have to get the predator to behave and not bully their Venlil sibling, only to find that the Human child is quiet and gentle, while the Venlil one is fiercely protective of them. Join them as they slowly unravel just what happened to these children, why the Human child is so reluctant to look anyone n the eye and make noise, and why the Venlil child protects them with such ferocity.

Love, Despite: A Venlil artist mourns the loss of their exchange partner, a fellow artist. Through a series of videos the Human made should they not survive, the Venlil artist seeks to broaden their horizons and bring a revolution to the sterilized world of Venlilian art. Join them as with the help of their departed friend, they learn to find love and beauty in all things, even the grief that plagues them.

Lights, Camera, Venlil Prime!: Set after the Arxur capture of the Cradle, join the cast of the first Human/Venlil movie as they film, detailing their lives on set and off. Discussions of art in motion, the subjectivity of life and death, and immortality by memory are had all throughout the production of either the movie that Glim saw a poster for during his escape or the first Human/Venlil romance movie (Whether the lead actors fall in love during the filming of that last one, I leave up to you).

The Skalga Valkyrie: Post-bombing, a Venlil witnesses the sorrow of Humanity and the cruelty of her own people towards the refugees, souring her towards her fellow Venlil and inspiring her to join the UN marines. Throughout her service, she learns of and resonates with Norse Mythology and Old Norse philosophy as she learns what it means to be an honorable warrior born to a people who lost their honor.

*MIGHT BE ADOPTED* Star Pack: We know that the Venlil were once Skalgan, but what if that was not the case? What if they had always been Venlil? What if the Venlil and Humanity had found each other first, and united before the Federation knew of either? When the Feds do make contact, they make the grave mistake of trying to assimilate the Venlil, angering both Venlil Prime at their attempted indoctrination of their populace and villainization of their oldest ally, and Earth at the attempted theft of the first friend they found in the stars and would-be wrong-doing against their self-proclaimed sibling race.

Sheepdog: A Human soldier fights to protect Venlil civilians during a colony attack, and is then invited to stay and live in the town when that soldier learns of their home has been wiped away during the bombing. Watch as the town catches their protector when they fall and helps them back to their feet, while that protector throws their all into keeping the town safe and building it up. Whether it's a single Human soldier who goes on to become a town legend, or a group of Human soldiers who integrate and make the colony the first Human/Venlil co-founded town, I leave up to you.
