The harsh winter air blows through my hair, a reminder of the fact that any wrong move could mean death at this time of year. It is too cold to go collect fruit so we have to rely on the deer to survive, I brandish my spear as My father, my brother, myself, and our two wolves prepare to go hunting. the wolves seem to always know where the animals are I for one wish we could too, it would make this a whole lot easier.

As we walk through the deep snow about 50 paces behind the beasts that help us track, we spot them; a small group of deer one of whom looks big enough to feed my entire family for several days and sickly enough that it wont put up much of a fight. We start to run at our target with our companions trying to intimidate the herd into moving. They may be faster but we can run for much longer and we plan to exploit that fact like we have on every hunt for generations.

We run as fast as we can whilst minding the fact that we dont want to tire before they do.

We catch up and launch our spears into our prey, Direct hit the beast yelps in pain as blood starts to leak out of the holes our spears created. Father tasks me with collecting our prize whilst he and my brother make sure our beasts dont get greedy as they are but simple minded creatures. I slowly stalk my way towards our kill and then below me CRUNCH! I hear ice breaking and I fall into the frozen waters try as I might to escape my watery doom, I can't do anything but thrash in the water as my brother realizing he's too far to save me starts to sob loud enough I can hear. I start to drift off

I wake up in a white chamber with unnatural Lights surrounding me, two figures one appearing to be some sort of short man-sheep hybrid and another appearing to be a very tall woman in strange garb are holding tools of which I cannot discern the purpose. they talk to eachother in a bizzare tounge. since my last memories are of me drowing whilst my brother cried for me I ask the burning question of "am I in the afterlife?". I get no response they fiddle with their tools and the woman-like creature prods me in the neck with some sort of stabbing weapon I try to jolt away but it is at this moment I realize two things: one I am strapped down and two: I can finally get a (vague) idea of what they are saying. they are rambling about some place called "Venlil prime" and how I was an 30000 year old male of the same kind of creature the woman was. the news surley horrified me, if I was thirty THOUSAND years old than father, brother and any other relatives I have are long gone...

They give me a minute to take the news in and ask of my name I respond with "Stone foot" they start to burst out laughing I guess 30000 years later naming conventions have changed a bit. the woman introduces herself as "Alexandra" and the sheep man as "Levak" The sheep man goes on to explain that he is in fact a "Venlil" and we are going to his homeland, the same "Venlil prime" he was talking about before. they say they found me buried in ice whilst looking for survivors of some war on "Earth"

and I am currently in some strange flying boat known as a "Space-ship".

To say my life got weirder is an understatement.

thanks to u/SpacePaladin15 for the series this is based off of and thanks to REAL anthropoligsts whose work gave me the inspiration (and certain details about time frame)
