Anyone know how to deal with Rosacea?
Post Body

For the last 3 or 4 years, I've been developing Rosacea on my right cheek under my eye. It has gotten a bit worse since it started, and it is now slowly starting on my left cheek also. I've been to a dermatologist who gave me a prescription for it. I used the prescription cream vigilantly but it didn't help.

I'm currently unable to go back to the dermatologist, or try a new one and I was wondering if anyone else struggles with this, or if anyone has a natural remedy or beauty tip that could help me?

For reference, here is a recent picture of me with my boyfriend. Its the only picture I have where you can see it most clearly. Rosacea, unfortunately

Well, rosacea is an auto-immune disorder, so I'm sure it's less your fault and more the bad genetic cards you were dealt! I do notice that alcohol, caffeine, and eating poorly tends to up my inflammation though, so I take turmeric (an indian spice that is a strong anti-inflammatory) and try to eat well.

A retinoid is a vitamin A derivative that is the only non-surgical method to prevent and reverse wrinkles. It also treats acne and rosacea. I use differin on my skin. Another example is tretinoin or Retin-A. It's a wonder drug for your skin. However, you can only get it from your dermatologist, so if you are in the US and don't have insurance, that would be a barrier.

I also came commenting to attest to the benefits of hemp seed oil. Combined with a retinoid, it's really cut down on my rosacea and sensitivity. Soap made my rosacea much worse.
