zone 7b i messed up and cut my grass 1 inch in August and it turned my yard into mud. its mainly all clay and it stays muddy. even tho my entire property is a hill it stays saturated. I plan on putting in drain ditches but it will be probably a year or so.
what I wanted to do is plant native plants that will help pollinators and feed wild life. Also deep roots to help with drainage. I hate modern grasses so I want to plant all native plants if possible. I also watch to include dandelions and some clover if it won't harm the other suggestions.
