Iām in Houston and in October of last year I picked up a bunch of acorns from a church. I did the water thing and put the good acorns in a plastic container with some peat moss and a little moisture. They sat in the vegetable bin of my refrigerator until March. In March, I checked on them and some had roots coming out of them. I planted those in these little 4ā compostable pots . I planted 20 of them and in a couple of weeks these 9 popped up. I have been watering them thoroughly after they dry out, usually every other day. Iām on the 11th floor of a high rise so I donāt have squirrels or many insects. There are some little tiny bugs that are like gnats. Iām concerned because some of the leaves have a white substance that looks like mold. Also some of the leaves look a little deformed. Can anyone offer suggestions or observations? I appreciate any constructive feedback.
