Joe pye weed are a taught plants
Post Body

I am a bit confused with my Joe pye weed , so i know i probably have 3 different Joe pye weed, one is sweet scented Joe pye weed ( eutrochium purpureum ) pic 1, and then I also got a botonical name by spotted JP weed ( eutrochium maculatum) pic 2 &3 ,and a short version of the variety call " baby Joe " , I plant them in different locations, some are full sun , totally expose under a sw corner with my orange milkweed, (baby Joe )and some I plant them in a part shade ( only morning sun but shade afternoon) , and one is part sun, morning shade and then sun all the way till dark. So they seems all ok with the condition, but the part shade one seems floppy , when they bloom it will started getting saggy, but besides that , as long as the soil are overly moisture, they are doing well , they love rich soil and a lot of organic matter , I dump a lot of fall leaves over winter and they are all growing a bit clay soil but no problem with it, they just can't tolerate dry and total shade and completion with big trees .
