Do you remember where you were when Strasburg took the mound for the first time? How can you not.

I was watching with my best friend Ryan at my dads house (we were still babies back then). We had foolishly signed up as nats heads 5 years earlier and for the first time felt there was a return on our investment. Every pitch had us on the edge of our seat! We were hoping the nats went down in order just so we could see him pitch some more. There was electricity in the air!

The promise made that day was fulfilled 9 years later with one of the greatest post season performances ever.

Stras, I know things didn't end the way you wanted them to. But you will always be the guy who kicked off a franchise and that number 37 should be somewhere for all to see. Thank you for everything. You will go down with Zim as one of our greatest home grown achievements. Nothing but the best moving forward. We salute you!
