Somehow I messed up cross posting my original question. Please see below.
Hi, I'll be traveling with 3 kids (12M, 10M, 9F) from the midwest to visit the Redwood Forest this fall. Where is the best place to fly into/out of? Eureka? It's a 5 day trip that will be split between the Redwoods and San Francisco. Any travel suggestions for us? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
Yeah Lava Beds is definitely a worthwhile stop. You could even throw in Lake Tahoe on that trip if you wanted to extend it because itβs also an incredible place
The closest is Arcata, CA, but Medford, OR is also close and a bit more well serviced

Lava Beds is such a cool spot. Iβd say budget about half a day there in between Lassen and Crater Lake. Bring warm clothes for the tunnels!
