Since July 27th I've been having episodes of temporary blindness, no lightheadedness or dizziness to speak of, strictly visual disturbances.
After 5 ER visits I FINALLY got a CT scan which revealed a mass in my left sinus cavity. I saw an ENT and he told me it wouldn't be causing the visual problems I'm having.
I finally got insurance a few weeks ago and was able to get an MRI/MRA of my brain/brain stem. These were the findings:
Chronic inspissated secretions throughout the left maxillary sinus are present with severe opacification, including the left maxillary antrum. Mild left ethmoid air cell mucosal thickening is present. The mastoid air cells are clear. The globes and orbits are within normal limits.
Severe left maxillary sinus disease with chronic inspissated secretions expanding the left maxillary antrum.
Just curious as to if someone else has had something similar, what they did, etc.
I'm scared I'm gonna completely lose my eyesight. Just waiting on my neurologist to call me tomorrow with some kind of treatment plan or answers. Been dealing with these vision problems since July and haven't been able to with since then, it's now Nov. 12th. So I'm beginning to lose hope.
