Is générations worth getting?

I was going to try the Storm games when I’m finished the manga (currently on the Sasuke retrieval arc), but I only knew about 1-4. Recently I found a copy of Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations and was curious.

Is it basically the same thing as the other games? Should I play the other games first?

Also , since it spans such a long time, I’m worried about the story. How is it? I know where it covers, but I’m more concerned about how it’s handled. Is it rushed or do they take their time?

TL;DR: Basically the title. Is Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations worth getting when I haven’t played the others?
