This is the Itachi who fought Sasuke (don’t want to hear anything about healthy or Edo) and the Naruto who fought Pain (so 4 charges of Sage Mode), but he can’t use the Nine Tails chakra this time.
I think this is an interesting match up that I thought of off the back of Kisame vs Itachi (Kisame wins no cap). I think Naruto wins because he shouldn’t get caught in genjutsu for the same reasons as Kabuto and he also shouldn’t be vulnerable to Izanami because 1. I’m pretty sure you have to be evil to succumb to it and 2. If Itachi brings down his Susano’o (which he has to for Izanami to work) for any extended period of time he’s going to die. Naruto, based on the 3rd Raikage feat, should be able to avoid all of Itachi’s attacks including the Totsuka blade. Even if he gets hit it’ll probably be a clone first time around. He’ll eventually figure out that the Yata Mirror stops ninjutsu and lob a Rasenshuriken at the back of the Susano’o and based on the fact that Madara didn’t try to block the Rasenshuriken with his Susano’o I think that if Naruto launches a couple at it then it’ll go down. I also do subscribe to the belief that the Yata Mirror should be vulnerable to Senjutsu just like the Truth Seeking Orbs, but I understand that this isn’t a concrete argument and is only a theory. The one thing that could get Naruto is that Itachi could just figure him out, so he’ll have to be quick and careful, but I think if you replayed this fight 100 times that Naruto would win 70% of them. Naruto’s summonings are going to be really annoying and he should be able to catch Itachi off guard with Frog Kumite at least once.
