the whole bring-sasuke-back-even-though-he-left-of-his-own-free-will storyline is soooo strange

in my early teens i thought this; in my late twenties i still think this.

i just get so triggered when people try to control others. kakashi says revenge isnā€™t worth it. so? who are you, kakashi, to take that experience away from him? cuz you guys are ā€œthe sameā€?? naruto is lamenting about everyone who risked their lives to retrieve him. ok and??? sasuke never asked them to. he. left. freely. all he wants to do is kill itachi. he never said anything about revealing leaf village secrets. let. him. goooooooooo.

(i also completely understand learning from your elders and those wiser, and iā€™m so jealous of people who can do that. however, as an extremely arrogant person, iā€™m telling you, let them fuck around and find out. thatā€™s how i learned/learn. donā€™t lose your hair and raise your cortisol levels trying to control someone who is just gonna do what they want to do. warn them once, and after that, i truly believe youā€™ve done your civic duty.)

anywayā€¦ iā€™ve never finished the whole series so maybe at the end everything makes sense.

edit: a lot of the comments are making me so freaking excited for whatā€™s coming šŸ¤©

another edit: these are just my thoughts. i still do love the story and the show.
