Narcolepsy and Loneliness; A lack of shared experiences.
Post Body

I went to a Sleep Doc for my night terrors @ 25 and was diagnosed with N1. Prior to the diagnoses, I did not even know that we were looking for Narcolepsy. I figured the MSLT was standard during all sleep studies.

Before that I had a successful career, albeit one where most days I fell asleep on the way home, missed my bus stop and had to be picked up half an hour away.

I thought this was normal. I fell asleep doing ground work in dance classes; I fell asleep while food burned and the smoke alarm went off around me; I fell asleep on the carpet at family events. I thought this was normal

Is there anyone that relates to this?

I feel lonely on r/narcolepsy , like this subreddit is an echoing chamber of society telling me everyone is tired and Iā€™m lucky.
