hello!
new here, 23 y/o female college student, i have narcolepsy w/o cataplexy.
i use a CPAP machine and was previously taking armodafinil daily until i ran out. i requested a refill and the dr said i needed an appt. in order to get a refill.
no problem!! i’ve been doing virtual appointments lately due to covid and being in college so far away from home. i get a my chart message a half hour before my appt saying that in order to get the refill it has to be an in person appointment so i’ll have to come in. now that’s a problem because i live an hour and a half away from home so obviously i can’t make it. i keep the virtual appt, technical difficulties end up cancelling the whole appointment.
the earliest i can get in person is the end of may. all of this happened the end of february. i’m absolutely miserable, especially knowing how successful i was feeling getting a regular routine going. i’ve been paying more attention to myself and i get about 6 hours of quality energy from the moment i wake up, after that i have to take about a 2 hour nap in order to feel normal again.
i’m getting terribly behind on schoolwork, my anxiety is getting worse, and i just feel awful overall. does anybody know how i can maneuver this situation better? i feel so defeated.. i’m happy to answer any questions and appreciate anybody who takes the time to read all this
