So frustrated with my boss, plenty of things I could vent about her here, but her behavior today, for someone who is in a 'caring' profession was just... shocking.
On Thursday she was supposed to have a meeting with a member of staff, and called last minute and asked receptionist to change it to the following day, because she had another meeting, so she did. Come Friday morning, she phoned again saying she had another appointment it was clashing with, and that it needed to be moved again. Receptionist was frustrated and informed our manager that we had to change the appointment twice (this member of staff has an attitude, so she wanted to feed back to the manager that the changes weren't our fault before she kicked off). The manager mentioned in passing to our boss that she needs to let us know when she has meetings, and apparently she was in a bad mood all day after that.
Fast forward to Monday, and she calls an urgent meeting for Tuesday. Among the long list of things we're supposedly doing wrong (including multiple points that I'd already told her were addressed, or were in the process of addressing), she calls my manager and the receptionist out directly in front of everyone else, and says that problems with her should be addressed to her directly, and that manager "has no right to tell her off". Receptionist defends herself, says that she had just mentioned it in conversation, and that it wasn't meant the way that she thought it was. Rather than accept that, she just said over and over again "well that wasn't how it looked to me", not apologising for attacking the receptionist at all, just repeating over and over that she didn't like how it was raised.
So now receptionist is extremely angry, and is considering whether she wants to hand her notice in. She's the best we've had in forever, she's so good at her job, but the boss seems to think everyones replaceable, and treats no one with respect.
