I'm gathering all my clothes and some of my things together to bring to my new place. And while picking out some books from our shelves to read to our kids later on, I became overwhelmed with grief at the loss of our relationship. I wish it would've worked. I wish it wouldn't end this way. I had wanted to build a life together but it doesn't work like that. I will never let myself go through this mistreatment with him or another.
