How do you feel about play dates?
Post Body

This is a bit of a question and a bit of a rant.

Usually I don't mind when the older girls (7 & 8) have friends from class over as they are well behaved and play quietly and independently together.

Today, I was looking forward to having just my three nanny girls, because I have hardly seen them (older two) all summer, and dad just sprung on me that the neighbor would like to bring her five year old boy over. Apparently, he's been asking for a play date, but really, they are trying to get ready for a family vacation they're leaving on tomorrow. I've interacted with 5B a few times and he is a pain in the ass. I told DB flat out that I did not want to get stuck babysitting the neighbor's kid, but he is coming over anyway. Trying not to let resentment and a bad mood set me up for a worse morning, but I am pretty pissed.
