I nanny 3 girls - 8, 7, and newly 3. The 3 year old and I are tight, as I have been there since before she was born. She is one of my favorite people, and the feeling is definitely mutual.
She and her family are staying with grandparents for the holiday weekend, due back tomorrow. Mom just sent me the following text:
NK asked me to text you that "when toddlers don't want to take a nap they don't have to, that is the truth" 🙄
She is awaiting your response on whether she has to take a nap. Spoiler alert, you said yes 😏
That kid, lol. For the record, when she tells me she doesn't want to take a nap, I generally tell her "I'm sorry to hear that, but it's nap time. Goodnight!" and close the door on her, often while she is still yelling at me about it. 😂
