Would it be appropriate to ask if they could cut the dogs' nails?

So I love my NF, very wonderful people. Unfortunately their dogs always jump on me when I get there in the morning and I get scratched up. There's been a few times where blood has been drawn and it's making me anxious.
Would it be reasonable for me to ask them to have their nails trimmed?
