I need some advice

Post Body

So I ended up booking a trip to Hawaii in late may and when I was telling my NM about it she asked me to consider not going may 19th because she has an important meeting with her boss or something. I ended up booking the trip may 18-23 because those dates line up perfectly with school and my budget and figured it would be fine since my NF will have over 2 months to figure out alternative care. I just have not told them that I went ahead booked my trip yet because I’m honestly scared. I know this is not something they would fire me for because they need me a whole lot more than I need them. I just am looking for a respectful way to tell them I booked my trip. I also want to mention that when I told NM that prices that next week were double she was offering to help out with the costs. But that’s not fair because I’m going with one friend and we’re both 20 and don’t have that much money you know. She is also sticking to a budget. Anyways I’m also a little annoyed NM is just assuming her work is more important than my life and my plans. My life definitely does not revolve around my family I work for and I hate that she is making me feel that way.

Sorry this turned into a rant but yeah does anyone have any advice on how I should tell my NF I booked my trip already?

Edit: thank u guys it seems like such a silly things to be worried about but u guys made me feel a lot more at ease!
