Let me preface this vent with this. I like my bosses, they're good people, parents, and are fun to talk to; they have been nothing but complimentary of my work. That said, they are super anxious parents and super micromanage-y thus far:
-They insist I make 3m orange juice every afternoon. I have been here almost a year and never once seen him drink it. One time he cried when I offered him OJ instead of water. I guess they're concerned about his vitamin C levels. I can't imagine how many sad oranges have gone down the drain.
-MB texted me to put more sunscreen on 3m. After being outside for 45 minutes. At a playground with umbrellas. I'm Irish and I wouldn't put that much sunscreen on my paste colored kids.
-MB came in while I was cleaning 3m to adjust the shower temperature by a quarter inch. The water temp didn't change at all.
- I have to use the shower to clean his bottom every time he poops, even if he's already been cleaned with wipes.
- All the water he drinks has to be filtered, then boiled.
-For some reason they'll ask me what the weather (I listen to the news on the way in) but not trust my answer and ask Alexa
-They're really anal about toys. I've received multiple texts after work asking where one of his toy dinosaurs are because "he has 12 in total and we can only find 11," and one time they went out in the dark, in downtown Atlanta at 9pm to look for a ball that blew out of his stroller at 10am.
I totally get that I'm working in their home and am acting in loco parentum, but jeez. It's whatever, I'm getting my Behavior Tech certification and will probably look back on this with nostalgia.
