Yesterday was a very long day for me (supposed to be 12 hours, ended up being 14). M7 was home “sick” from school and F4 is done with preschool. MB asked me to make sure they both got baths. Sure. M7 can do his own shower, but I stay in the bathroom with F4.
Let me add a side note: Thursday I had pointedly asked MB if she was ordering groceries because she needed several things. I always write a weekly grocery list and groceries are orders Wednesday, but they hadn’t shown up. She said “Oh, I might wait until the weekend, we should be okay.” I saw she was on Shipt Friday morning when I came in and asked if groceries were coming. She was ordering running pants. Cool, whatever.
Anyway, after bathing and having lunch and doing afternoon screen time, it’s 10 minutes before we have to pick up F9 from school (about 3 pm). MB comes upstairs and asks me where the popsicles are.
Uhh, what popsicles? The ones she ordered along with the groceries, of course! The 75 popsicles that need to be dropped off after we pick up F9 from school. No mention of either popsicles, groceries, or taking popsicles anywhere was shared with me.
M7 pipes up and says, “I bet they’re on the porch. I saw the groceries being delivered when Miss WS was giving F4 a bath.”
You mean like three hours ago? And you didn’t mention it? To anyone?
🤦🏻♀️
Yup, popsicles melted, frozen food thawed, produce gone limp. All on the front porch. I wonder where M7 gets his lack of communication from.
