For the past several months, I have been helping out at F4.5’s preschool. It has worked out really well because they needed someone who was fingerprinted and background checked to be there and I needed classroom observation hours for my ECED degree. I have known the teacher since I started working with this family 4 years ago, every one of the NKs has gone through this school. The teacher is amazing, I have learned so much from her. I have planned and lead lessons, planned curriculum, etc. Next week is the last week of school.

I’m actively looking for a new job and I know I won’t be seeing the teacher again in the same context. Today she gave me a thank you note and a $100 gift card. The note was so kind. I was BAWLING, y’all. It feels so incredibly wonderful to be noticed, especially by someone you really admire.

This really has given me the push I needed today to get my butt in gear and start applying more.
