A fun winter activity that can be done with ages 2-5. On a piece of white paper, use a white crayon to draw something that would normally be white: a snowman, a polar bear, snowflakes, etc. Ask NK to guess what it is. Give them a ā€œhintā€ by drawing in some parts with black crayon (eyes, buttons), then tell them they can magically make the rest of the image appear with watercolor paint.

I did this with F4 today for a good 25 minutes, as she kept insisting. Older kid can draw for younger ones. You can explain to older kids that the crayons are made of wax, which resists the watercolor (wonā€™t let it soak through).

Just an idea to help get us through this last little bit before Valentineā€™s!
