Monday F9 was complaining she didn’t want to go to school because she had to take last year’s lunch box. People would certainly notice and make fun of her. Why? Her current lunch box was left in the car over the weekend and it had “mold all over it”.

After dropping the older kids at school, I checked out the lunch box. There were four or five tiny, pin point sized mold spots. I sprayed it with bleach spray and rinsed it a while later. Easy peasy.

MB couldn’t believe it. She was literally about to order a new lunchbox for F9. I said nothing to NK, she said nothing to me. Today, there were flowers. I didn’t even know they were for me until I came back from dropping the older NKs off. MB told me F9 had insisted on getting the flowers, picked them out herself and even offered to pay for them.

I didn’t pick the kids up today, but I’m going to write a thank you note for tomorrow. I’m touched and hopeful F9 is turning a corner.
