Feeling lonely with younger kids
Post Body

I think it’s safe to say that a downside of this profession is having no real colleagues and feeling lonely- but I’m especially feeling the loneliness since switching from an 8F and a 10M to a 2F and a 6F. Part of the reason I liked working with kids was because I loved having conversations with them and hearing their own unique insight, and they’d genuinely make me laugh- but 2F and 6F are just too young to hold any sort of meaningful conversation. I’m very much missing being able to chat during the day right now! DB and MB also both work from home so there’s no chance of me sneaking in a break to listen to a podcast or chat with a friend on the phone.
