So, the apartment building my NF lives in has an outdoor public area with a pool, which has been a godsend during quarantine as it's the only outside time we get. One of my 18moF NKs favorite activities is lying on her tummy and splashing in the pool while I hold onto her. A delightful pastime for any toddler.
Yesterday, she got the drop on me and managed to throw the house keys into the pool with a hearty "Oh No!!" So I had to take off my shirt and dunk my head and torso into the pool to fish them out, while simultaneously corralling a toddler who's screaming at me because I won't let her jump in the pool too. Luckily, I was wearing a sports bra that basically looks like a crop top, as I spent the next hour playing with her and waiting to dry off enough to put my shirt back on.
Needless to say, the keys are now safely in my pocket whenever we go outside now.
