I cried today because...
I have two dogs and one of them broke an (extremely overgrown) nail today while I was in the in-between of my job. I had to basically just Quikstop it and then leave and hope for the best. Luckily my dog is alright, but now I have to forcibly tell MB I need Wednesday morning off to take care of my dog and get her nails taken care of before this happens again. She refuses to even let me try to trim them, and cries out when I so much as hold her paw. I feel so guilty, but she used to file them herself on the concrete so I never had to do anything with them. :(
I've also been super stressed and anxious about finding a new gig since my NF are moving in the next few weeks and I am not joining them in their move. DB's sister is in town from out of the country, and her and MB have been doing a lot of shopping. They also want date night gigs, which means I'm working morning/afternoon and then coming back again for a shorter evening shift. The reason for this is all because they could not solidify their plans earlier, and thus I'm left trying to make as much money as I can before they leave in case I'm unable to find a job for a few weeks.
I'll be fine, but I'm still stressing more than my anxious ass normally would be.
Don't get me wrong either, it's only like 8.5 hours a day total. But I haven't done full days in a long time, and I was hoping to do 9-2/3 so I could have time to; interview, take care of chores I've neglected, respond to job ads/post my own ads, run errands, etc. Of course none of this is my fault, and I could say no, but I feel guilty since they do not get to visit frequently and I really need the extra money.
Now I don't have any time to do those things, since I'm either trying to sneak a nap in because I sleep terribly half the time, or I'm driving (I'm about 35 minutes from my work.).
Tomorrow I have made plans (before the date night stuff or the dog situation came up) to go see my good friend who has recently left an abusive relationship and is having a hard time with housing. Her dog is continually barking and her roommates are fed up. She asked me how much it would cost for me to train her dog, so I have to break it to her that half of my 'training' would just be training her how to properly respond to the dog and assert herself as 'the boss'. Lol.
I do love what I do (though I'm transitioning to doula work), but sometimes when things are this up in the air and stressful I can't help but go home and cry it out. Anyone else?
