Me: Looking for a job to replace my unicorn family of 4 years.
---
The Job:
We are looking for an experienced, gentle, creative, active sitter for fill in days July 9, 10, 11 and 12 (12-5pm) and two afternoons a week starting in the Fall.
We are located in City. Our son loves science, building things, reading, art and make believe. He is very sensitive to loud noises so we prefer a quieter, sensitive sitter. In particular, we need someone who is able to warn him before they cough/sneeze. We also are looking for someone who is willing to engage him in creative ways to keep him physically active such as making up obstacle courses, etc. We want a sitter who has a collaborative approach because our son is anxious and does not react well to orders.

This child is 10 years old. They do not mention any special needs. It definitely sounds like he is on the spectrum, why would the family not at least say so???
Warn the kid before they cough or sneeze? Is he unfamiliar with coughing and sneezing or never been around a sick person or person with allergies?!
I can't wrap my head around this. I've worked with children with special needs before and never has this come up.
