I like hearing updates, and I figured you guys would too.
So over 6 months ago I made a post about Girlie (18 months at the time) and her vocabulary. She had 3 words at the time and everything else was “uh-uh.” Well her six month evaluation is coming up so the speech therapist asked me to make a list of all of the words she uses now.
The list is currently at 45 words, and those are every day words not just things she’s said once or twice and never again. I’m sure MB will have more to add when she looks it over, and I will too, as I made the list in about 5 minutes.
We read every day (she started saying “book” about two weeks ago!) and do a ton of talking and repetitive singing. The singing is her favorite part and she is constantly asking for more songs, or the same song on repeat. The amount of verses I have made up to “if you’re happy and you know it....” She definitely has a ways to go, but I’m so happy and proud of her.
