MB and I are at our wits end, so any help is appreciated.
Girlie will be 2 in about 2 weeks.
This started about a month or two ago when it really started getting cold here. She absolutely hates her winter coat. MB didn’t want to turn it into a battle so I bring her coat with me and don’t force her to wear it. Usually I’ll throw a sweatshirt on her so she’s got an extra layer. So far the temperature hasn’t been too awful. Then it became that she wouldn’t put a sweatshirt on.
Now it’s any attempt to get dressed - full meltdown, sobbing/screaming. She’ll rip the clothes off and try to hide so she can’t get dressed. It doesn’t matter if she picks the clothes out herself or we do it. If I let her run around naked for a little bit, it doesn’t make the situation better or worse - her meltdown is exactly the same.
I can’t let her run around naked all day, and it’s going to get very cold here soon. Thanks in advance.
Edited to add: We went on a 2-mile walk today (she walked for about a mile) and not only did she not wear a coat the whole time, she was warm to the touch for all of it - I was freezing and she was unphased in 3/4 length sleeves.
