Post Body

I started with my first nanny family that I got through an agency two days ago and it seems super promising! I have never been paid so much to do so little, appreciative family, adorable 5f, I'm provided with my own car seat, credit, card, and mileage reimbursement. The only hang up I have is their stupid, narrow, downhill driveway I have to backdown everyday...

I'd been doing fine, even though I'm notoriously bad at driving in reverse, but yesterday they gave me a clicker so I could use their garage, awesome! But when I was leaving, DB had parked in the driveway outside of the garage so I could back out, leaving me with six inches of wiggle room to work with, their third car is also parked right by the mailbox, so I have to do some sharp turns to avoid that as well, cue panic. I start backing up, trying desperately to thread the needle, and then I feel it, my back right tire slips off the driveway. No big deal, I felt it right away and I pop my car in to drive. The tire spins. I'd hit the mulch, there had been several days of rain, and the driveway is at a 45 degree angle, I just can't get the traction to pull the six inches out of mulch that would save my ass. Instead, I am forced to reverse over freshly laid mulch, a bush and half, some freshly planted flower, and lawn before I can correct enough to get back on the pavement.

Obviously I knocked on the door and explained what happened, offering to buy new mulch etc, but DB said it was fine, except he didn't come out to survey all the damage. I'm waiting to get the text firing me.
