Facebook nanny groups drive me crazy
Post Body

These people drive me insane. I saw this post in a group I'm in and it was asking how much to expect to pay for one child in nj area. And someone comments that they charge 10 an hour for babysitting services. 🙄 minimum wage in nj is 14.13 an hour. This isn't even a legal wage and gives people the impression that professional nannies charge 10 an hour. So I commented that isn't even a legal wage and nannies and child care providers should be on the books employees being paid a legal wage. And she goes on to say how she is a foster parent and when she has to care for a child for 24 hours they only give her $25. That is completely irrelevant and you don't foster children for income. And that there is no legal wage because childcare providers can charge whatever they want. What is this logic!?!?!
