For those who don't know, Mael is one of my favorite characters from nnt, so I really expect some development around him in 4KOTA, I know the story wasn't meant to be focused on the old characters, but still. Mael had 3 major transformations, first his life as an archangel, then Estarossa, and then a confused and different Mael, but I think we need a fourth and final transformation, where Mael regains his confidence and accepts his mistakes, and also that he can be happy. , he killed his brothers but they all came back at some point, it wasn't permanent, in his time as 4 archangel Mael was manipulated by his brother and his goddess to be a ruthless killer, he was wrong but he wasn't the only one, Zeldris, Meliodas, and so many other characters did the same things during the war, and now they're happy, Mael deserves to be happy too. Maybe Gawain can make Mael regain his confidence, coaching someone might be all he needs right now, and his relationship with Gawain might make some of his old confident self return. I would give anything to see Mael using Taiyou for the last time, I love the way he uses and creates colossal suns and other tricks, to be honest, I wish Taiyou stayed with Mael, I'm not a big fan of Gawain being the new one bearer of grace, I understand the weight behind this grace, two great characters in this universe were once the bearers of it, and this brings a lot of weight and hype in Gawain, but it all seems very forced, grace has 1 quarter of the power of divinity supreme, it didn't make sense for Escanor to be able to face the demon king, let alone make sense for Gawain to match Arthur who has chaos using this, I know there will be some explanation behind it, but it's a lot of plot armor for a power that it's not even that big. Gawain could have the power related to the sun without having the grace.
