Question about Merlin's Infinity!

So we know that Merlin created a form of immortality for herself by using Infinity to stop her time. Shouldn't she be able to o the same for Escanor? Imagine if the all 7 sins are confronted by all 10 Commandments at once. Merlin could use her power to freeze Escanor at exactly 12 noon. It would be incredibly op though. Or do you think this is just too much of a cheat even for Merlin?
