At this point I have seen many sides of the argument regarding Jericho’s love for Lancelot, and frankly how creepy and disturbing it is. However, I firmly believe our girl is not a pedo. Still, this has left me for a loss as to what happened to her. I think I have a good theory on what. Jericho has merged with the lady of the lake.

How have I come to this thought? Well, a commenter from the site I watched the Jericho episode of 4 knights helped me out. They pointed out the text present as Jericho confessed her love for Lancelot, present only in the anime or at least within its context, and said the text matches what Japanese games would use to show that malevolant mystical force is speaking. Now, I did take this with a grain of salt, but it did get me thinking. What if there is some sort of other present within Jericho? What if it’s the lady of the lake?

Let me justify this a bit; we know Lancelot is the prince of the lake, but how did he earn that title? What happened to the lady of the lake? Did the lady offer it to him, and if so, why? He was literally a little kid, and somewhat of a whiner from what he and Jericho say. I think it’s because the lady started to care for Lancelot herself, perhaps somehow even saw his future and fell in love with who he will be. How did this happen? I can’t say, but in Arthurian legend, from the little I know of it, there does seem to be interaction between Guinevere and she. Perhaps she somehow is connected to the girl and saw the future through her eyes.

That probably motivated her to seek to be with Lance, perhaps be a part of something more than just a guardian of chaos. Then there is Jericho, the only woman around close to Lance. Maybe she did some sort of mind trick and ended up merging with her somehow? Maybe the final step had something to do with Lance’s choice? Maybe he made it for both Jericho and the lady?

However, it’s clearly not a perfect merge as Jericho seems to be herself even slightly.

Further justification for my stance lies in Camelot Lance. Lake Jericho, that’s my name for them, imagines him as an adult, and she even acknowledges that falling for a child is strange and wrong. If she was merely a pedophile then we would be seeing the Lance who was 10-13 years old. Yet, it’s also odd. As we know, Camelot manifests your desires as you know them, they can’t develop much further than that. This points Jericho away from the pedo direction but also into unknown and suspicious waters. How does she know what an adult Lance would be like? Why this Lance specifically?

To wrap up I have one more minor, 😉, piece of evidence/ assumed and speculation.

Jericho’s magic is capable of freezing demon flames, why? Could it be the lady’s power?

And I believe Guinevere will go to Jericho for help in the outside world, why? It’s because, and let’s be real, she has no other ally in Camelot who gives a damn about Lancelot beyond his execution.
