Prior to staring this I had an extremely poor diet. Like I would just eat out at restaurants or fast food constantly. Even though I was only 155lbs, I carried a decent amount of excess fat and my cholesterol tests showed a very high LDL (bad) cholesterol level of 177(ideal is < 100).
Since May, I have switched to a mostly vegan plant-based diet and have been averaging about 10,000 steps daily. My LDL dropped from 177 down to the healthy range at 83. BP and resting pulse have also normalized and I feel the best I ever have! At 137lbs, I donโt have a ton more weight I can afford to lose so Iโm focusing now on getting enough healthy calories and incorporating strength training into my exercise routine.
Looking at the before and after photos really helped me see just how much progress Iโve made in losing the excess fat. Really proud of myself and plan to continue my healthy habits. Also found I genuinely love cooking meals at home and trying new healthy recipes, so thatโs been a nice little bonus too!
