I’ve been going to my nail tech for over a year now who I love, but I feel like every time I go in, the price just keeps going up. I always request nail art, and she told me the base rate is $75 which seems normal. In addition, I get a hard gel overlay, which she says is $25. Ok, seems normal as well. For this design, she said she needed to charge an extra $15 for the French tip. But I would’ve figured that would be factored into the nail art??? Am I wrong in thinking that? And for the nude nail art, she charged $110, saying it was $10 extra for the gold chrome line at the base of the nail. But how would that not be considered the nail art, as the rest of the finger has no artwork?
Let me know y’all’s thoughts!!! No matter how much I like her, might have to find someone else because it’s getting so expensive and don’t want to be taken advantage of 🙈
I live in NYC, my gel nail art lasts 6 weeks and I spend $120-140/manicure.
