Chemical hardener/dryer for nail polish?

Post Body

I’m so very new to nail care. I’ve always bitten my nails, and I finally broke the habit. Ages ago, I used to go with a friend when she had her nails done each month. We would play with designs at home, when I could refrain from biting my nails off. On one visit, she pocketed a small bottle of a chemical that, when dropped onto wet nail polish, made it dry much faster. I have no idea what it was but I’d like to find it so I can purchase a bottle. It was a tiny glass bottle with an eye dropper, not a brush. Any help that anyone could provide would be immensely appreciated!!
