Hi everyone! I recently discovered this subreddit and itβs been very helpful to read advice and see examples of apartments.
My husband and I will be moving to NYC, and have to move by the end of June so I will consider apartments for lease takeover or otherwise as early as sometime in May, but preferably June 1.
We have four cats (very chill, clean, quiet and we have a Litter-Robot which keeps all odors away), so it needs to be cat friendly. Looking for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. Budget is around $2000. Hoping for Harlem, but also looking at Astoria, upper Manhattan, and some places in BK like Sunset Park, Crown Heights.
Does anyone have advice on when to start seriously applying (Iβm seeing that normally apartment become available no more than 2 months in advance), things to avoid, things to consider? Anything advice is helpful. Moving from upstate NY.
Thanks!
