Any tips to safely send a security deposit if i cant see the apartment in person?

Currently looking to lubsease apartments because i am trying to move in may. But the problem is that i am in Canada and dont really have any friends to look at the apartments for me. Is there a way to safely send money for security deposits, first months rent, etc when i like an apartment and feel as though i can trust the subletter?
