I am in a fairly new building in Queens. I moved into the building in October 2022. The tenants were promised a gym, rooftop and recreation area. Apparently, those have never been built since the building has been completed. It’s been over two years.

One thing that attracted me to this building is that the property managers were very eager about getting the amenities soon. However, I think it’s unfair to pay so much money in rent and the amenities which were included in the rent/lease are non-existent.

I’d like to negotiate my rent being lowered. I could really use the money to pay for a nearby gym.

The building is affiliated with HPD as well.

Although I signed the lease already for this year, perhaps I could save this information for October 2024.
