Hi there, I got an internship this summer in NYC and will be moving there for the first time in my life!
The problem is, I don't really know what price ranges to expect so any advice is appreciated
Here is what I'm looking for
- Living there from June until the beginning of August
- Fully furnished sublet
- No roommates
- 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
- Air-conditioning
- Washer/dryer in building
- Within 30 minutes of Grand Central
My work is in the heart of Manhattan, which is kind of a problem because Manhattan is way out of my price range (from what I've seen so far) I was originally hoping to get something for under $2k, but have not run into a single posting that wasn't a scammer ;-;
A coworker who used to live there recommended looking at Astoria and Long Island City too, which I have just not begun to
I guess my main question is, is what is a realistic price range to find a 1br 1b apartment like I listed above that's still within 30 minutes of grand central?
